We have an exciting new opportunity for a leader within Procurement. In this role you will lead, develop, and empower a knowledgeable team of professional buyers for indirect material - together we can reach our goal in scaling up Polestar.

As a Category Manager for Digital, you will have the responsibility to identify internal and external stakeholders and develop strategic alliances with them, provide the team with facilities to succeed in sustainable business relations with suppliers, TCO and TVO -guidance and participate actively as a team member and represent Procurement in new business development initiatives.

The main subcategories within Digital are:

• Software.
• Services
• Hardware

Which mainly serve our Global Digital Organization structured as, Product Creation and Industrial, Commerce, Customer acquisition, data analytics, architecture and info Security ....

This role will report to Head of IDP, EMEA and is located at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What you'll do

Together with a global procurement team you will work in close collaboration with stakeholders and oversee enhancement of running business and all sourcing activities for new business development projects.

Your main tasks will include:

• Collaborate and be early involved with stakeholders to develop the supplier base to meet business needs
• Co create Career Development Plan with your team and follow up the progress
• Accountable for end-to-end deliveries of the category team including Strategy, Sourcing and contract negotiations
• Accountable for Category Business Plan for dedicated Commodities
• Coach your team for achieving sustainability goals, increased transparency & traceability, total cost of ownership (TCO), quality, on time delivery, and project objectives
• Support the team to negotiate commercial contracts and agreements with business partners
• Participate in BRMs (Business Review Meetings) with key business partners and suppliers

Establishing a new EV car brand for an exciting future , will require a lot of flexibility and creative thinking while keeping a strong integrity. You act proactively, with focus on the right thing and getting the job done.

Strong networking skills in a global environment, to build professional relationship

• A mature team player
• Strong English language skills in speaking and writing
• Positive and passionate - nothing is impossible mind-set
• Approx. 5 years+ procurement experience
• 3 years+ experience of developing and managing procurement team with direct reports, global team preferred
• University degree in engineering, business management or equivalent
• Familiar with global indirect material/ NAP supply base
