Through the efforts of our nearly 700 employees around the world, we provide specialized competence in design, test, launch and operation of space and air systems. The Satellite Management Services Division provides satellite operations and satellite communications services using a network of SSC stations and partner stations worldwide as well as consultancy services.
Esrange Satellite Station - provides reception, processing and distribution of satellite data to end users.
Mission Control Centre - provides satellite control services to satellite owners and operators.
GROUND STATION AND SATELLITE CONTROLLERS
Temporary positions
We are looking for temporary Ground Station and Satellite Controllers for the period 1 August 2011 - 31 December 2011 to our two stations, Esrange Satellite station and Mission Control Centre. For some positions the employment period might be extended or permanent. The Satellite Stations are located 50 km outside of Kiruna.
Required qualifications are a Technical degree in Electronics, Physics or Space Science and/or operational experience in operating satellites or processing and distribution of satellite data. Other equivalent qualifications will also be considered.Your technical interest coupled with an analytical and communicative approach will build a solid ground to succeed in this role. You have excellent self-motivational qualities and have the ability to work within our highly regulated environment.
We operate in an international environment which requires fluent spoken and written English. A driving licence is required. As a Satellite Controller you will work on a rotating shift, 24/7.
