We are now looking for an experienced Grid Manager to join the Project Delivery department of our Onshore Wind Business Unit.
Vattenfall is one of Europe's largest electricity generators and producer of heat, with key markets in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. Our strategy is to lead the energy transition to enable fossil-free living within one generation. Central to our mission is our wind power business.
In this position you will be responsible for managing the grid connection agreements in our onshore wind power projects, with a special focus on the Swedish market. The role also involves Electrical Engineering design and contracting elements.
You will have a large focus on building and maintaining a strong network with external stakeholders (e.g. DNO and TSO) as well as specialist consultants to provide support at key stages throughout the development timeline. The management of external stakeholders will be vital for the role.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks
Primary
• Strong focus on the Swedish wind energy market
• Assess grid capacity requirements based on project specifics and identify most advantageous grid connection points
• Hold discussions on grid connection possibilities with grid operator
• Negotiate grid connections and agreements necessary to connect the wind farm to the grid with grid operator
• Monitor and manage the grid risk in collaboration with our project managers in both development and construction
• Liaise with Distribution Network Operators and Transmission System Operators
• Ensure the windfarm is fully compliant with relevant internal, local, national and international regulations and grid codes

Secondary
• Prepare and review electrical designs
• Provide technical and commercial support to project development and construction teams in all electrical BoP related questions
• Prepare and review electrical content of tender and contract documents for BoP and WTG packages
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders, throughout the entire lifecycle of the wind farm project, with main focus on the development and construction phase
• Lead negotiations of electrical volume for WTG and BoP contracts

Qualifications
Business knowledge and skills
• Minimum 5 years' post-grad experience in electrical engineering and grid design in Sweden, preferably in wind power industry
• Strong experience and knowledge of Swedish grid codes, and other relevant industry codes and design standards
• Deep knowledge and experience in the connection processes of grid operators
• Proven experience of negotiating electrical/grid contracts with grid operators in Sweden
• Proven experience in preparing and reviewing tender and contract documents
• Experience in wind farm electrical BoP design
• Experience in liaising with regulators and contributing to industry consultations
• Driver's license (beneficial but not essential)
• Spoken and written proficiency in both Swedish and English is a must

Academic qualifications
• Minimum a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
