The Job
Rebtel continues to grow its service offering and customer base at a rapid pace. We are now looking for an outstanding Software Engineer to join our platform team. As a member of the platform team, you support our 15M+ user base and connects hundreds of millions of phone calls. You will modify and enhance existing code, develop and design new components and modules in the production platform as well as internal tools.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with:
4+ years of experience in software development
A deep understanding of object oriented principles
Strong C# experience
Experience in REST with WCF and JSON
Basic SQL knowledge
Experience of working on large-scale high performing systems
Experience of audio/video, telecommunications and protocols is a plus
A degree in computer science or similar is a plus, but not required
A quality driven spirit
Self-motivated, but enjoys working in a Scrum team
To successfully handle communication at large scale, we believe you may have experience in various areas of computer science and engineering such as information retrieval, artificial intelligence, distributed computing, large-scale system, networking, security and data compression. You are open minded person with an eye for details who likes to solve complex and interesting problems!
Even though we are a Swedish based company we work in an international environment. Our customers are spread out over the world and many of our employees are from outside Sweden, e.g. from Russia, Canada, Mexico, Morocco, India, Pakistan and Venezuela. Therefore you need excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. If you know Swedish it is a great bonus.
