The Volvo Group International Graduate Programme gives you a unique opportunity to gain a holistic view of the Volvo Group and to kick-start your career through international assignments, work in different parts of the organization, networking, and professional and personal development. Upon completion of the programme, you will continue to work in the position you were recruited.
The programme runs for 12 months and includes a combination of common and individual graduate activities and day-to-day work at the home company. It consists of three weeks of common development activities at different locations globally, where the participants meet and network. Common activities in the latest programme took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, Beijing/Shanghai, China and Greensboro, USA.
The programme also includes learning activities in your home organisation and an international assignment
During the programme you will participate in training sessions covering fundamental Group concepts, such as diversity, personal development, project management, cross cultural communication etc.

Position description
Are you interested to develop your skills within Product Safety?
We are seeking an expert on Product Safety with special focus on electronic control systems. As a Safety Compliance Engineer you will be present at all stages of product planning and product development with targets and requirements to secure compliance to relevant safety regulations and standards. You will have frequent contacts with classification societies / notified bodies and take lead in type approval of our electronic control system.
Since interaction with both external and internal contacts is crucial for achieving results, good networking and communication capabilities are of high importance. The job as a Safety Compliance Engineer also requires a strategic mind and the ability to set and meet objectives. The job requires travelling.
Tasks would include:
Experts in safety for electronic control system for development projects regarding safety and compliance of electronic control system
Responsible for type approval of electronic control system to show compliance with classification regulations and standards
Advice to market on compliance of our system in different commercial applications.
Active part of implementing functional safety standards for Volvo Penta (ISO26262)
