You will also have the responsibility for the cleanliness in the restaurant (tables), serving area, bathroom and dishing area.
Part of the job is also answering telephone calls. You should also be able to take responsibility for the restaurant and show enthusiasm to help that the restaurant will grow.
Personal skills:
You should be very polite and friendly to the customers but in the same time serve them prompt and clean. You should have experience in serving in a restaurant and be able to use the cash-machine.
You are able to cope with the hectic lunchtime and you are alert to oversee the situation and are enthusiastic to work as fast, as the situation requires it. You are also responsible to tell the chef an adequate time before, which food items are running out. You also help to bring food staffs in the serving area. Good English and/ or good Swedish language skills are required. Punctuality is very important, this means when your service starts, you are ready to serve (changing of cloth, bathroom, drinking is not working time).
You should be physically fit and be able to do your service self-dependent. You should be loyal to work in a vegetarian restaurant which is in the same time a Hare Krishna temple.
Because it is a temple you should be able to deal with the customers in a adequate way and except our special cleanliness rules (clean and neat cloth, no meat eating in restaurant, smoking or drinking during working hours). You should be able to explain the ingredients of the meal by consulting the chef and be alert to serve the suitable meal to allergic customers by also consulting the chef.
Because the restaurant is quiet small and there will be only the chef on your side, you have to be able to do all kinds of spontaneous services, for example cleaning and be attentive, even if there are no customers to serve.
You should have knowledge in the hygiene standards for restaurants and follow them precise and if there comes the health-office your are able to explain it.
Regarding your outfit, it is necessary, that you wear clean and decent cloth in white. Of course for man you have short hair and no beard (requirement from the health-office).
Happy and enthusiastic to work, punctuality, friendly and respectful attitude toward customers and Hare Krishna members, able to oversee the whole restaurant situation. Able to work as quick, as the situation requires it. Good English and/ or Swedish skills. Skills in teamwork and accepting instructions. Able to use the cash-machine, responsible to work with money.
