Transformation Strategy
With renewed KKR support, in January 2020, Henrik Sjogren took over as CEO for the HA Group to lead the global transformation, transitioning from a traditional B2B model to a true B2C platform. The overall vision to become a leader in the rapidly growing Sleep Economy involves shifting from primarily serving the mattress market, to improving the end to end experience of sleep, including online consultation services, instore experiences and sleep accessories with the corresponding evolution across brands. Whilst HA Group's traditional markets offer growth potential, there is an even greater online growth opportunity, accelerated further by the pandemic surge into home improvement investments. To capitalize on this opportunity and in line with the Group's digitalization plan, HA Group appointed a Chief Digital Officer, President of Online brands Jason Forbes. Job Description: Google Cloud Data Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Google Cloud Data Engineer to help us build and develop our brand new BI setup from scratch. You're going to be part of a small BI/analytics team with the goal of providing support, high quality data products and insights for a wide range of stakeholders from product development through marketing, sales, supply chain, operations and finance. We are working with many data sources in a scattered environment, and we need to make sure all information is up to date, reliable and easily accessible in order to optimize our business on a continuous basis. We are in the beginning of this journey, so the first period will mainly be about sourcing data and building out our reporting, but we aim to activate our data through our product and marketing communication soon via data applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Be the owner of our BI infrastructure setup
• Work with business stakeholders and analysts from concept to operations, providing deep technical subject matter expertise for successfully deploying large scale data solutions in the enterprise, using modern data/analytics technologies
• Experience in building solution architecture, provision infrastructure, secure and reliable data-centric services and application in GCP
• Work with data team to efficiently use Cloud infrastructure to analyze data, build models, and generate reports/visualizations
• Integrate massive datasets from multiple data sources for data modelling
• Formulate business problems as technical data problems while ensuring key business drivers are captured in collaboration with stakeholders
• Extracting, Loading, Transforming, cleaning, and validating data
• Designing pipelines and architectures for data processing
• Creating and maintaining machine learning and statistical models
Qualifications and skills
• Hands-on GCP experience with a minimum of 1 solution designed and implemented at production scale
• Minimum 1 year of architecting and implementing next generation data and analytics platforms on GCP cloud
• Minimum 1 year of designing and building production data pipelines from ingestion to consumption within a hybrid big data architecture, using Java, Python, Scala etc.
• Minimum 1 year of designing and implementing data engineering, ingestion and curation functions on GCP cloud using GCP native or custom programming
• Minimum 3 year of designing, building and operationalizing large-scale enterprise data solutions and applications using one or more of GCP data and analytics services in combination with 3rd parties - Spark, Cloud DataProc, Cloud Dataflow, Apache Beam, BigTable, Cloud BigQuery, Cloud PubSub, Cloud Functions, etc.
