What you will do:
The position is within Research and Development Personal Care (R&D PC) in our Global Brand, Innovation and Sustainability organization (GBIS). GBIS drives company value creation with global winning Innovations, Sustainability, and Brand Building to achieve and sustain category leadership positions. Approximately 700 out of Essity's 46 000 employees belong to GBIS and are located in 12 different countries with main sites in Sweden, Germany, France and the US.
The GO! Graduate Research & Development position 2022 will be based in our Gothenburg office in Sweden with start date September 2022.
At Essity, we see graduates as playing an important role in challenging the status quo, driving change, and making a positive impact on the business and on hygiene and health globally. As GO! Graduate, you will develop skills and knowledge in selected R&D areas to take on an entry level role within these areas during the program.
The position is within R&D Personal Care Packaging Development and focusing on packaging aspects in our innovation and launch process.
The role will be responsible for Packaging activities as outlined in the graduate's development plan to build knowledge of our packaging strategy and execution, our innovation process and connected activities. Relevant areas could be one or more of the below incl. assignments in related areas:
Work on innovation projects to ensure the development of optimum quality packaging with maximum speed to market and effective cost management in line with global brand packaging strategies.
Support regional and global marketing teams on new product launches; specifically implementing new package designs, innovations and machine acceptance trials.
Provide and communicate technical input and recommendations on all packaging-related matters and technical training and development to all appropriate areas.
Identify and develop innovative packaging concepts including materials, packaging format, print technology and brand assurance devices, with potential business benefits.
Proactively develop, maintain and improve working relationships with manufacturing, product development, marketing, sales, category management, logistics and sourcing.

Who you are:
To be eligible for the GO! Graduate Program you need
Minimum bachelor's degree in Engineering - technical, industrial, chemical or packaging (completed at program start; September 2022)
Maximum 24 months of work experience after graduation.
Relevant internships/extracurricular work in industry is an advantage.
An excellent level of English and good skills in at least one other relevant language is required
An interest in collaborating with people from different cultures. Preferably you have gained your international mindset either from working and/or studying abroad or working in an international environment
To be a great networker and communicator who can manage your way around a matrix organization in a changing environment.
Willingness to travel and to relocate if needed.
An interest in further developing yourself and possess a high sense of self-leadership.
