We are part of GM Powertrain, a global company with business in 17 countries and with over 50 000 employees. Today GM Powertrain Sweden has around 800 employees situated at three sites: controls-, engine development and engine production in Södertälje, integration, controls- and transmissions development, engine development and exhaust aftertreatment in Trollhättan and production of manual gearboxes in Göteborg.
GM Powertrain is looking for Development Engineer
GM Powertrain Sweden is looking for development engineers in the area of "Development, Testing & Validation of Manual Transmissions Systems" in Trollhättan, Sweden.
We are a team working both in-vehicle and in indoor laboratory environment and are continuously trying to move activities from in-vehicle to laboratory environment, as well as having more results in the form of objective measurement values. The work is focusing on classical mechanical components and failure modes in car environment with a big part of electronically measurement systems and computerized analysis software's. Currently a big expansion of our lab facilities is ongoing where we are installing a completely new generation of advanced and sophisticated Test Cells. In addition to manual transmissions a part of the All Wheel Drive system are also included in the groups responsibility.
We need to expand in different areas and are therefore looking for Engineers with a Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education. We are part of an integrated European organization with German colleagues and have also a lot of cooperation with other GM Technical Centers around the globe, so good skills in the English language is required. You should be a curious, well structured, responsible person with a lot of power for own initiatives. There are 3 women in the group and we will happily welcome more. The work assignment is flexible and will be defined considering your personality, interest and experience.
