Algorithm & SW Engineer - Transmission Controls
Areas of responsibility:
As a software/algorithm engineer you will be working with the complete chain of function development; defining requirements, simulation of algorithms, modeling, testing, verification and not least implementation of GM's future global software within controls. You will be a part of an international cross functional team with a unique area of responsibility for a part of GM's global software, from requirements to parameter settings.
Background:
You have a M.Sc. in Electrical or Automotive Engineering, or are an experienced engineer with similar educational background and an interest in real time control systems. Previous experience of modeling and simulation and knowledge of Matlab/Simulink is preferred. A general knowledge of control systems for transmissions is an advantage.
We are using model based design and automatic code generation for the development of most parts of our control system SW. Experience of Mathwork's RTW Embedded coder is a merit and basic understanding of embedded real time systems is an extra advantage. Some programming knowledge is preferred (C/C++). As verification of new algorithms partly takes place in vehicles a driving license is required. Previous experience of Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) systems (DSpace) is a bonus.
You have a good knowledge of spoken and written English and verbal and look forward to a large network involving daily contact with GM colleagues around the world. Traveling within and outside Sweden is part of the assignment.
