We are part of GM Powertrain, a global company with business in 17 countries and with over 50 000 employees. Today GM Powertrain Sweden has around 600 employees situated at two sites: controls-, engine development and engine production in Södertälje and integration, controls- and transmissions development, engine development and exhaust aftertreatment in Trollhättan.
GM Powertrain is looking for a Noise & Vibration Development Engineer - Manual Transmission Systems (ref no 294-1830)
Duties:
GM Powertrain Sweden is looking for a development engineer in vibration and torsional measurements in the area of "Development, Testing & Validation of Manual Transmissions Systems" in Trollhättan, Sweden.
Included in the group’s responsibility are Manual Transmissions/Gearboxes and parts of All Wheel Drive system. The assignment will mostly focus on rotating components and sub systems, with activities in indoor laboratory environment. There will also be support to other N&V departments in vehicle activities. Currently a big expansion of our lab facilities is ongoing where we are installing a completely new generation of advanced and sophisticated Test Cells.
Qualifications:
We need to expand in the area of measurement and analysis of vibration and torsion movements and are therefore looking for Engineers with fundamental knowledge in this area. We are part of an integrated European organization with German colleagues and have also a lot of cooperation with other GM Technical Centers around the globe, so good skills in the English language is required. You should be a curious, well structured, responsible person with a lot of power for own initiatives. There are 3 women already in the group and we would happily welcome more.
