hela Sverige The Electrical and Electronics department is responsible for product development of the electrical systems in our four truck brands, Volvo, Renault, Nissan Diesel and Mack Trucks.
The Function Verification group conducts formal verification on the electrical system with focus on functional verification. The group is also responsible for coordination and planning of verification activities together with other international sites within the Volvo Group. Development of new test methods, processes, tools and test equipment is another part of this group's responsibility. Quality assurance and accepting deliveries from our suppliers is also another aspect of the work that is carried out by the group. We are highly motivated engineers that love our work and use our creativity and the latest tools to solve problems. Working in this group gives a perfect overview of the complete electrical system in a truck.
Job description:
• Responsible for and conduct all steps (review of requirements, test analysis, planning, specification, execution, reporting) in the verification chain
• Trouble shooting of complex problems in a lab environment as well as in a complete truck
• Become a verification expertise in a particular competence/product area in order to interface and support the rest of the global organisation
• Understand/validate the usage of the product as an end customer
• Develop new methods and processes for the Verification area
Qualifications:
• University Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or recognised equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years experience in test engineering and verification
• Knowledge and experience of communication protocols (e.g. CAN and LIN)
• Good skills for methods and tools in Verification
• Knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design
• Good communication skills to enable ideas to be shared with colleagues
• Analytical skills and ability to document with ease
• Be capable of working at a high level of proficiency without high levels of supervision
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Experience from the Automotive industry is a merit and knowledge of the following tools and their processes is very meriting: System Engineering Tool, Clear Case and Clear Quest, CANoe and CANalyser
• Experience of programming is a merit
