Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) has started within our Vehicle Technology function a unit focusing Data & Simulation. We are integrating data and simulation-driven product development into the Group Digital journey to enhance our R&D efficiency, service offering, and sustainability . We will also deliver R&D unique infrastructure to support our product development and ensure that reporting is done according to set rules and standards to be compliant with legislations.

Role and Responsibilities
As the Global Technology Manager (GTM) of Models & Simulation, you will secure foundations for system simulation making it reliable and useful for R&D activities within GTT organization. We are looking for a leader to build up and manage our team of experts who will work in close contact with Product Owners to support service and product development.
One of the most important tasks is to develop a high performing department and secure best available competences in the area on short as well as long term. A key delivery will be to build and maintain roadmaps on modeling framework and interfaces enabling multi domain simulations. Your key responsibilities will be:
Defining and implementing department structure, objectives, and operations
Secure cross domain framework for model and simulation management in GTT
Define and manage proper technical interface structure with different engineering domains
Securing implementation and alignment of solutions towards Enterprise Architecture principals
Managing the inter-team operational aspects on a formal and ad-hoc basis, be available for clarification, quick decision making, escalations or reprioritization if needed.
Empower the team to come up with ideas for backlog and product roadmap.
Build and develop the team's health, happiness, motivation, and growth.
Manage portfolio governance structure to ensure successful portfolio execution, including preparation for and facilitation of regularly progress reviews and decision meetings.
In this role, you will report to Thomas Lezama - Vice President Data & Simulation in Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) and be a member of the Data & Simulation management team.

Your qualifications should be:
Master's degree or equivalent in Computer science, Computer Engineering, Information systems and/or R&D related IT
Extensive IT or Product Development experience
Experience from R&D work, primarily in modeling and/or simulation
Experience from driving change management in conjunction with implementation of new way of working supporting data driven development
Experience from data privacy and risk management
Minimum 3 years of experience from Line Management- leading leaders and global teams
