Global Technical Support Manager
As Global Technical Support Manager at Biotage you are responsible for global technical support of all our instrument products. You are our knowledge hub for how to maintain and improve Biotage's quality instrument brand and the trust we have gained from our customers throughout the years in business. You work closely with our Product Managers, RnD, Operations and Regional Sales and Services to provide mainly technical support post-sales, but may also be involved in pre-sales as necessary. You work closely with Product Managers and Regional Services in all our Service Trainings and the Service Bulletin and Service Manuals. You also are responsible for our global service productivity analysis and service marketing to maximize after-market business. In addition you act as Product Manager for some of our instruments which have reached matured phase in the product life cycle. You will act as a leader in your area of responsibility but you have no team reporting into you. The role is global and travel will be required up to 20-30% from time to time. The role is based at our head quarter in Uppsala, reporting to VP Marketing.
Qualifications required:
BSc of Engineering or Science in Chemistry, Physics or Biology
Strong technical support and/or field service skill on analytical chemistry and/or organic synthesis instruments
A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support and/or field service skill on analytical chemistry and/or organic synthesis instruments
Strategic thinker, good communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent command of English and Swedish, both oral and written
Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Highly creative and diligent to manage multiple projects in fast paced work environment
Qualifications preferred:
Direct work experience on any of Biotage Instruments
Other languages such as German, French, Spanish, Chinese or Japanese
Leadership experience and formal management
