Who you are
About the jobOur commodity group "Electrical, Instrumentation and Flow items" is responsible for securing a competitive sourcing of Alfa Laval's needs. We represent more than 30% of the total purchasing volume in Alfa Laval. The area of responsibility for this positions lies in the range of 50-70 MEUR annually.The position can be based at any Alfa Laval site in Scandinavia and requires app. 30-50 traveling days per year. English is the business language.Who are you?You are an active part of finding opportunities and drive various activities in an efficient and persistent way, yet with an understanding of the importance of showing respect and taking into account various internal parameters. Strong commercial drive and interpersonal skills enable you to gain results, co-operating and building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.The job also includes creating new opportunities, negotiating and maintaining commercial agreements and long term relationships. Important part of the job is to work with global suppliers, and to be a professional counterpart to the suppliers. You achieve results through active and close co-operation with our factories, distribution centers, the global and local purchasing network and marketing.What you knowWe expect you to be a commercially driven engineer with an international experience. You have a university degree combined with several years of commercial experience from purchasing but preferably also from sales or marketing. You have substantial negotiating skills and experience.
