Who you are
About the jobOur commodity group 'Casting, Forging, Machining, Forming, Cutting and Fabrications' is responsible for securing a competitive sourcing of Alfa Laval's needs. We represent more than 30% of the total purchasing volume in Alfa Laval. The area of responsibility for this position lies in the range 20-40 MEUR.
The job includes creating new opportunities, negotiating and maintaining commercial agreements and contracts. Important parts of the job are to be part of various projects, be updated on the international metal market and to be a professional counterpart to the suppliers.
The position is based in Lund and requires 40-70 traveling days per year. English is the business language.
Who are you?You achieve results through close co-operation with our manufacturing sites, material experts, the global purchasing offices, the marketing and R&D organizations. Strong interpersonal skills enable you to co-operate and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
You find opportunities and drive various activities in an efficient and persistent way, yet with an understanding of the importance of showing respect and taking into account various internal parameters.
What you knowWe expect you to be a commercially driven engineer with an international experience. You have a university degree combined with several years of commercial experience from purchasing but preferably also from sales or marketing. You have substantial negotiating skills and experience. You must be a good team-player eager to get good knowledge of our products.
