We're looking for a Strategic Purchaser to join our team at the Global Procurement department and contribute to a sustainable and solid purchasing department - someone who's motivated and sees the benefits of joining a function under a transformative movement. Your job
In this position, you're part of setting strategies and activities for our field's future with responsibility for sourcing of services connected to Facility Management. Further, you support our Green Factory and Sustainable Facilities initiative. Having a clear focus on connecting our three sites, you're developing new and sustainable guiding directives that you and your team take ownership of and work to implement in the organization. In addition, you make sure we have solid sourcing processes, and you're responsible for gathering insights regarding options and competition, as well as developing a stable supplier base where you evaluate both current and new suppliers. You closely collaborate with our internal stakeholders to identify their requirements, and you balance this with safeguarding our Sandvik sourcing policies and frameworks as you create quotations, manage suppliers, and close agreements. This includes challenging old assumptions and actively working to keep us in the loop from the very beginning in various sourcing activities.
For this job, we need your presence at our production unit in Gimo, Sandviken or Västberga.
Your profile
We're looking for a professional with a couple of years' experience in strategic sourcing - preferably within the manufacturing industry and Facility Management in particular. You're used to evaluating options, negotiating, closing deals and managing stakeholders. A degree in a relevant field of studies or a Silf sourcing certificate is an advantage. Since you interact both locally and globally, you need excellent communication skills in English while we find Swedish as a plus.
Being structured and detailed, combined with a confident mind and a truly networking personality, are your keys to success in this role. You genuinely enjoy a changing environment where you get to collaborate across functions and take part in setting new ways of working.
