We are looking for a passionate and proactive Global Strategic Commodity Manager to join our Supply Chain organization.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be responsible for developing strategy and investigating across a high portfolio of global suppliers while initiating or participating in cross functional projects across the product management.
You will develop a solid working knowledge of certain commodity trends, that includes investigating industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, material lead times, and technical/manufacturing processes. Also, explore where our components are in their lifecycle, when should we consider re-design and migrate proactively, how can we design for duality or parallel source? Internal and externa communication is vital to succeed with these topics.
You will have a strong focus to create a commodity strategy, select and contract suppliers in the field of electronic component manufacturer and other mechanic areas. Investigate and recommend new and or alternate sources of supply as necessary to support new product development, cost reduction requirements, and/or supplier performance issues.
You will also work with:
• Manage Sustainability supplier targets and Implement HMS Supplier Code of Conduct Work with supplier evaluation and act on supplier performance
• Negotiate conditions to ensure supplier's performance cost development
• Establish and develop supplier partnerships
• Supplier risk management
For this position, you need to be able to travel on occasions.
