We are currently seeking a Global Storage and Backup Manager with focus on Veeam, VMware and our storage solutions. We are searching for you who want to work in a dynamic organization with great commitment and customer focus.
As Global Storage and Backup Manager, you develop and ensure a stable operation of the organization's IT infrastructure and systems. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting and optimizing key functional areas, particularly within backup, storage and disaster recovery. You will also schedule and perform necessary activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate way.
Roxtec IT today covers operations and support for all the 27 subsidiaries in the group worldwide. The department is based at the headquarters in Karlskrona from where all systems from ERP to other special applications are maintained and developed.
Areas of responsibility:
Work with the infrastructure including monitoring, development, maintenance, documentation, etc.
Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.
Provide training and support to helpdesk support staff in relevant issues.
Perform and ensure system backups and recovery.
Propose size and technology for new and existing backup technology.
Ensure that continuous improvements are made to stabilize and develop the infrastructure and systems.
Be the contact person for vendors of related hardware/software equipment.
BACKGROUND
You have a broad and documented experience within IT, with focus on storage and backup solutions, together with VMware. Knowledge within Riverbed products such as SteelHead and Granite is an advantage.
A prerequisite for success in this position is that you are fluent in English and Swedish verbally and in writing as you will work with many contacts on a global basis.
