hela Sverige We're currently seeking a Global Storage and Backup Manager with focus on Veeam, Vmware and our storage solutions. We are searching for you who wants to work in a dynamic organization with great commitment and customer focus.
The role of the Global Backup and Storage Manager is to develop and ensure a stable operation of the organizations IT infrastructure and systems. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting and optimizing key functional areas, particularly within backup, storage and disaster recovery. You will also schedule and perform necessary activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate way.
Roxtec IT Today covers operations and support for all the 25 subsidiaries in the group worldwide. The department is based at the headquarter in Karlskrona from where all systems from ERP to other special applications are maintained and developed. There are 15 persons working in the department (13 in Karlskrona, one in China and one in US).
Roxtec offers a role in a company that is growing. The IT organization is relatively small hence the roles are broad and the culture cooperative.
Areas of responsibilities:
• Working with the infrastructure of the Roxtec Group including monitoring, development, maintenance, documentation etc.
• Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.
• Provide training and support to help desk support staff on relevant issues.
• Perform and ensure system backups and recovery.
• Propose size and technology for new and existing backup technology.
• Ensure that continuous improvements are done to stabilize and develop the infrastructure and systems.
• Be the contact person for vendors of related hardware/software Equipment.
Qualifications
You have a broad and documented experience in IT, with clear focus on storage and backup solutions, together with VMware.
Knowledge within Riverbed products such as steelhead and granite is seen as an advantage.
A prerequisite for success in this position is that you are fluent in English and Swedish verbally and in writing as you will work with many contacts on a global basis.
