Who is your future team?
We are on an exciting journey, and we are right now setting up our Operations organization for continued growth. Having supplier quality as an integral part of the sourcing process, where the ambition is to develop and work with a best-in-class supplier base will even further strengthen our market position. We are now looking for a manager for the team that will focus on supplier quality.
You will manage a team of seven dedicated quality engineers. The team is responsible for qualifying and developing our global base of suppliers of mechanical and electro-mechanical components. They collaborate with our suppliers to ensure that their production processes can manufacture high quality products repeatably in high volumes. Each commodity quality engineer works in one or several cross-functional commodity teams developing and executing the commodity strategies to maintain a world class supplier base that meets our needs now and in the future. Four persons are based in China and Malaysia to support the supplier clusters we have in those countries and the other three are based in Lund.
What will you do here as Global Sourcing Quality Manager?
As Sourcing Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that we have the right processes, methods, and organization in place to qualify and develop a supplier base that meets all Axis requirements. In addition to the personnel, resource and budget responsibilities, the line manager responsibilities include responsibility to ensure that Axis' core values permeate the organization.
Since the team is rather small, you will also manage a couple of commodities yourself. The role involves approximately 50 days of international travel per year.
Who are you?
As a leader and people manager, you believe great development starts with great people, and you are passionate about building high-performing and happy teams. You strive to see people grow and are structured when you drive change. You utilize the knowledge in the team and develop the function continuously. You have previous experience as a manager as well as several years of supplier quality management and supplier development.
We'd love to hear that you have
* Master level degree in Engineering or similar experience
* Previous management experience including responsibility for personnel and a good track record of promoting a productive and excellent work environment
* Great communicative skills and enjoy interacting and collaborating with different people and cultures
* Flexibility to navigate successfully within a complex global structure to operate effectively at all levels of the organization
* Experience from working with supplier quality management in a global environment
* Good understanding of quality methods, such as FMEA and 8D, and you base your decisions on statistical data
