As Global Sourcing Engineer you will beresponsible for the sourcing of all products and components for Kockumation Group companiesKockum Sonics and Polarmarine. You will act as Team Lead within the Supply Chain function, andcoordinate sourcing projects with local teams of the two companies. Here, you will take on supplier development processes, focusing oncontract management, andsourcing activitiesinclosecollaboration with discipline engineers. This is a new position at the company andto be successful in this role you arecollaborative, solution-focused and havestrong communication skills.
The position as Global Sourcing Engineer has following areas of responsibility:
Leading the sourcing and purchasing activities within the two companies.
Build a Sourcing Execution Plan for all required components and services.
Working with suppliers on commercial, contractual, technical, and scheduled requirements with focus on quality, cost reduction and delivery performance.
Set up sourcing contracts with suppliers.
Supplier evaluation and negotiation.
Overall responsibility for correct quality and on-time delivery of goods and services by suppliers.
Responsible for the group inventory control and replenishment.
International travels.
We need you to have:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering orequivalent.
5 years of professional experience in sourcing, category management, project management, or supply chain management within a lean manufacturing organization or similar.
Operational background in Global Sourcing / Supply chain in industrial business environments
Proven track record in Sourcing processes, preferably in mechanical/mechatronics industries.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Experience inMicrosoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)
Experience from business system Pyramid or similar.
