The Global Hygiene Supply (GHS) organization contributes to making Essity a highly successful global hygiene company by having the safest, most efficient and lowest cost product supply base.
Global Sourcing within Essity belongs to the GHS organization. It is to be recognized as the driver for best total costs for Essity. Global Sourcing will thereby drive down total costs and create maximum value by managing a sustainable and competitive supply base utilizing appropriate sourcing strategies, processes and resources which support the needs of the business.
We are looking for a Global Sourcing Director (W/M) to lead the Indirect Strategic Sourcing team.
This position may be based in either Sweden, Gothenburg or Germany, Ismaning, and reports to Vice President, Global Sourcing.
Main Tasks
Develops indirect sourcing organization to meet current and future demands and targets in order to support the Business Units strategies
Proactively engaging customers and suppliers to identify and define potential issues and opportunities; developing solutions that create value
Delivers cost savings, cost avoidance, value creation and cash flow improvement in line with targets and stakeholders expectations
Ensure that Supply stream strategies for Global Supply Streams within scope of responsibility are developed, anchored and implemented
Secures that deliveries in Global Supply Streams are aligned with legislation and Essity's sustainability demands
Ensures access to new innovative services /solutions /products from suppliers
Pursues synergies across all Business Units
Secures knowledge sharing internally within Global Sourcing as well as with our internal customers
Key Competencies
Masters degree in Economics, Science, Procurement or equivalent
Minimum 5 years ' experience in Sourcing with demonstrated sourcing competence and/or transferable knowledge
Strong knowledge of purchasing best practices and contract law as it applies to the procurement process
Proven track record of success either in Sourcing organization or Commercial organization with close relations to customers and suppliers, preferably within Marketing, IT or other Indirect areas
International work orientation and experience with demonstrated leadership skills
Solid SAP and preferably Ariba knowledge
Strong negotiation and integration skills needed to influence cross-functional resources to meet common goals
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills especially capable of interacting with and presenting to senior management
Strong analytical skills, including financial analysis, with advanced Microsoft Office skills
Role model in terms of Essity Beliefs and Behaviors and Code of Conduct
Experience within Indirect Procurement Systems rollout and digitalization initiatives is a benefit
Ability to travel 50-60 days / year
