We are now looking for a Global Solution Specialist to join the new Industry Segment Solutions team.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Global Solution Specialist in the Industry Segment Solutions team you will work in a newly formed team and closely with a Global Solution Manager. You will be part of launching new Axis solutions and going forward you will together with the Industry Segment Solutions team manage the life cycle of the solutions. The solutions are primarily video analytics software applications, in-sourced from different technology partners, but can also include in-house developed user applications and complementing components.
The initial products and functionalities you will be working with are developed by an external supplier where you will be expected to develop deep knowledge in order to handle complex support cases escalated from our local support teams worldwide. You are expected to work closely with our partner company in order to develop your own skills and keep an ongoing dialogue for mutual knowledge exchange.
Your work can be divided into four general areas:
Drive competence: Create training materials, run product training sessions and write technical notes, FAQs and white papers.
Solve customer cases: Solve and prioritize support cases of a high complexity, either on your own, or in close cooperation with Axis engineers or our external supplier.
Take part in the development of new products/functionality, as an expert on customer needs, expectations and requirements. This includes involvement in internal projects, product documentation and meetings with our external partner.
Maintain and develop product functionality in cooperation with our partner company: Identify new requirements and areas which cause problems, plan for new functionality, maintain existing product functionality, assist in pre-sales issues, etc.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a driven and structured individual with experience and talent in problem solving. We believe you have a service minded attitude and that you are practical when it comes to technical matters, as you will need to do hands-on product testing and product evaluation. It is of great value if you have technical knowledge and experience from working with IP video technology and/or Axis video products as well as video analytics, biometrics and facial recognition software.
You have social skills and an ability to manage and perform in a multi-cultural environment with international contacts. You are always open to customers and colleagues, contributing to a good team spirit and a productive environment.
Furthermore, we believe you have:
At least 5 years work experience.
A pedagogic approach, both spoken and written, when explaining technical matters.
A deep understanding of technical matters and preferably experience of test procedures, trouble-shooting and product evaluation.
Software development experience and an interest in or experience from cloud services is an advantage.
Interest in and/or experience of documentation, including creating educational videos, reviewing manuals and guides, internal support documentation etc.
Excellent English skills, written and verbal.
Swedish language skills: not essential, but an advantage.
THE TEAM
The Industry Segment Solutions group is a new team, created to accelerate our solutions development for key target customer groups. The team is part of the 'Platform & Aftermarket Services' department within the R&D Software organization. The assignment comes from the global business development team for the industry segments within Global Sales. Focus is to plan, develop and manage new solutions to support our prioritized industry segment ambitions, primarily through OEMs but also through development of pre- or post-installed camera applications. The scope includes e.g. evaluation of new solutions, managing the solutions' life cycle, education & training, handling of complex support issues, driving proof of concepts, and active pre-sales support to the regions.
