Axis initiative within Physical Access Control is a new area that will expand rapidly and become increasingly important as part of the total offering to the market. We will therefore continue to strengthen the New Business team with a Global Sales Engineer focusing on bringing our Physical Access products and accessories to the market. 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In this role you will be supporting Physical Access Control sales globally. This includes:

• Assist in project sales in cooperation with the local Sales Engineering team in the local offices.
• Build and run the sales engineers network, in cooperation with the local manager and together with the team globally.
• Drive technical knowledge build in your regions and cooperate with your global team to build a knowledge build structure.
• Take part in events and training here and in your region as an application expert
• Act as a trouble-shooter and coordinator to solve complex technical problems in major deals and sales projects.
• Investigate and document new technologies for the market based on R&D knowledge and investigations.

The team you will be a part of is our center of knowledge for physical access control and you will also have close link to our Global Sales Engineers for video that are Axis knowledge base in system and application matters. Together with business development and marketing we will drive Axis towards an application and solution oriented market approach.

The job involves traveling, approximately 50 days per year.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a person with a great technical knowledge and interest combined with system solution thinking. You are experienced and used to making your own decisions. Furthermore we believe that you are business oriented and that you have an understanding of project sales. Your communication- and networking skills are excellent.

Furthermore we believe that you have:

• Relevant (Bachelor's or Master's) degree or similar.
• More than 5 years' experience within system engineering and at least some years with customer relations.
• Several years of technical experience, preferably from the Physical Access Control Industry,. Knowledge in Computer Networks and IT industry is greatly appreciated.
• Documented work with system solutions close to end customers.
• Experience from the project sales lifecycle.
• Fluency in written and oral English.

Proficiency in any European language(s) in any combination is considered a great plus and a broad cross-cultural experience is highly appreciated.

THE NEW BUSINESS TEAM
The New Business team is a unique group within Axis. The group is responsible for both evaluating new business ideas from a technical and a commercial perspective, and product development to offer customers the best products on the market. The team has market oriented business development resources as well as product development resources. The team's focus is on ideas outside Axis current focus on Network Video. The ambition is to leverage on Axis existing expertise and capacity which will require a flexible and open co-operation with R&D and other departments.
