Then join our Global Supply Chain Excellence team as a Global Quality Specialist! This is an exciting position with global ownership of quality at Epiroc supply chain.
The mission of the Global Supply Chain Excellence team is to drive the development of supply chain strategy, deploy best practices within global supply chain operations and define and implement policies & standards.

Your mission
You will act as the Global Supply Chain's authority and decision maker in regard to Service and Product Quality. This means helping to develop standards for our global warehouses to follow, provide training in ways-of-working, and secure we have the right metrics to track quality. Warehousing should be based on industry standards, focus on eliminating waste, and drive excellence in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Your Role
In this role, you will not be expected to fly in for a week, run training workshops, then fly out again. Instead, the focus is on putting in place global standards, metrics, and ways of working to be rolled out in all our warehouses, globally, which in turn will allow our Distribution Center managers to achieve industry standards and operational excellence. This challenging role requires taking a step back to focus on the big picture, based on years of experience within the four walls of the warehouse.
Some examples of areas of responsibility;
* Support the Global Warehouse Manager with operational expertise & activities related to products and operations quality
* Develop and implement global quality policy, process & metrics
* Provide training and development as needed to achieve quality targets, and for example create a network of Quality professionals out in our regions.
* Review submitted CAPA reports from the regional teams to ensure customer complaints are properly addressed and effective CAPA are proposed and been follow up
* Lead or support quality-related projects, including quality aspects of for example WMS-implementations or new warehouse openings
* Maintain Quality related parameters of products in ERP system
* Suggest, draft, implement and then evaluate global quality improvements

In this role you will work closely with the regional teams to support their overall goals of excellence in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
You might also participate in running projects to set up new warehouses, restructure a poorly performing warehouse, or support on WMS-implementation.
Your Profile
We believe you should have a Degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related subject and a documented expertise in driving Quality improvement initiatives. Knowledge and experience from material engineering is very meritorous. You have hands-on experience working within a warehouse combined with theoretical expertise in Quality management, for example, the Seven Tools of Quality or the Toyota Way / TPS. As this is a global opportunity, you should have strong English communication skills both verbal and written. Additional language and Project Management experience are considered a plus.
To enjoy the work as Global Quality Specialist, you have a passion for quality. You enjoy putting in place standards and processes to help others improve quality. You have a gift for teaching and enjoy sharing the knowledge you've accumulated from years of experience working in and with warehouses or factories. You may have been involved in successfully changing how your previous employers worked with quality, for the better. In addition, you have a firm understanding of continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
Location and travel
This position is located in Örebro (preferably) or Fagersta, Sweden and occasional travel will be required. In case a candidate from a different country applies and is successful, Swedish local terms and conditions will apply.
