The Global Products Manager (GPM) is a core member of the Global Product Team (GPT), led by the Global Medicines Leader (GML) and performs the critical role of managing the operation of the GPT. The GPM supports the project leadership by ensuring alignment of the project strategy with operational delivery. The GPM is the project manager of the GPT and ensures all its projects are managed in a way that represents best practice for project managment within AstraZeneca.
Within the framework of delegation by the GML, DGP or GMed Head, the GPM will to lead elements of the drug project strategy or cross-project and portfolio strategies, or other initiatives. In addition the GPM will be expected to assist in governance interactions, driving delivery, managing senior stakeholders and external bodies.
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Education
• Bachelor?s of Science or equivalent in an appropriate discipline
Required:
• Evidence of excellent team management skill : communication, collaboration and positive challenging
• Experience of effective working in global and multi-cultural teams
• Project management experience and familiarity with project management tools ? ideally in a multi-disciplinary development environment.
Desirable:
• Advanced degree in a scientific discipline
• In-depth knowledge of drug development process
• Project Management Certification
