hela Sverige We are currently offering a highly stimulating and attractive position, targeting the global mining sector, a position where you will represent ABB's market-leading mine automation solutions. Based in Västerås, you will work within our mining unit, part of our Process Automation Division, that provides systems and services that improve the reliability and profitability at our customers production sites. We do this by delivering power supply, control, drive, safety, automation, and process integration solutions for installations in the mining and quarrying sectors.
Our mining unit in Sweden has global responsibility for underground mines, for developing new solutions, as well as executing delivery projects. ABB is currently implementing an aggressive programme in the mining sector by focusing on contributing to the vision of the mine of the future. Development of products and solutions is conducted in close co-operation with leading mining companies worldwide, and we have received encouraging signals from the market to our new range of solutions.
Tasks
As Global Product Manager, you will have a leading role in several major and highly visible R&D prestige projects for the mining sector, and in the development of tomorrow?s mining automation solutions. Delivery and development projects are carried out in co-operation with ABB's global competence hubs, local ABB businesses, and often with external partners. This means that you will need to build up a substantial contact network within the Swedish mining sector and ABB, in which your colleagues will be among the leading automation experts in the industry.
You will be responsible for our products and offering from concept to market in all phases throughout their life cycle. This includes responsibility for market analysis, communication, pricing, and product strategies, as well as product care and the development of new products. Expansion of market channels is another key element of this position, with responsibility for sales teams in Sweden and abroad. You will also shape and lead cross-functional product teams, and serve as a link between ABB's internal functions and our customers.
Requirements
We are looking for an individual who genuinely sees opportunities, and is inspired by the challenges of working with market-leading mine automation on a global scale. You are business-focused and strategic, with excellent knowledge of the mining industry. You preferably have extensive expertise in underground mines, professional experience of mineral processing or the process industry. Knowledge and experience of sales and project management would be advantageous. You have a university education in automation, electrical power, mining technology or equivalent. Ideally, you have also worked with 800xA and R&D processes. You have excellent language skills in English, preferably also in Swedish.
