About the job
In this position, you're responsible for identifying, developing and evaluating new product ideas, enhancing existing products, and translating research discoveries into marketable products. You play a crucial role in leading, planning and tracking all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to market introduction. To ensure that our products' specifications, options and pricing are aligned with market demands, you use competitor analysis and strategic oversight of all products in the portfolio. You work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and communicate the customer value proposition, while maintaining the product portfolio throughout its lifecycle. Additionally, you initiate, define requirements, and sponsor new product development initiatives.
The team is spread globally and for this position we offer a flexible workplace, however it's preferred that you're based in Europe.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with a relevant university degree or equivalent knowledge gained from work experience. Through your previous work you've acquired a business knowledge of best practices and an understanding of metal cutting and its technology, business, and customers. You also have knowledge of how the products integrate with others, as well as of their competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. As we act in a global setting you need excellent English skills, both verbally and in writing.
