This role is part of the Global Product Group Motor Starting & Safety within the Global Business Line Smart Power. As Global Product Manager, you will join our team based at our lead manufacturing and R&D facility in Västerås, Sweden, where you together with your team, will drive the long-term profitable growth and marketing of the ABB offering to targeted market segments, by developing and managing it through all of its life cycle phases.

Your responsibilities
Leading market intelligence analysis, understanding and defining current market segmentation and related product positioning, also identifying potential gaps in portfolio, both against competition, and new market opportunity.
Leading existing portfolio life cycle management process, analyzing current product, defining and tracking performance metrics and ensuring current and future market requirements are met to maximize profitability.
Defining new product plans, setting technical, price, cost and capital expenditure targets in line with customer need and value analysis.
Initiating and driving product market communication strategy and coordinating with channel partners as well as Marketing & Sales to ensure best market coverage.
Driving the annual business planning process and facilitating agreement between sales demand and supply.
Monitoring global sales target fulfilment, tender volumes and taking appropriate actions.

Your background
A technical background and a good business acumen.
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Product Management.
Prior leadership experience.
An analytical leader and a team player with an independent and solution oriented working style.
Resilient in an agile and changing environment.
You are structured and able to grasp the bigger picture.
You are ambitious and self-motivated person, with strong customer focus combined with market and competitor awareness.
Fluency in English, written and spoken alike, whereas knowledge of Swedish, German and French are meritorious, since you will be working in a global environment.
