Product Unit Precision Strip in Sandviken is a leading producer of cold rolled and hardened precision strip for demanding applications. Our products are found in the industrial, medical and automotive segments as well as in consumer products. We are now looking for a Global Product Manager for Automotive & Aerospace. The position is based in Sandviken at PU Precision Strip.
Key performance areas
As a Global Product Manager you have a passion for close interaction with customers in the value chain. You will have overall responsibility for the Automotive & Aerospace segment and total responsibility for developing strategy, and will support other parts of the organization to meet the targets. Key customer management for some of Strip's most important customers is included within this role. Your responsibilities are further to:
• Handle the budget and profitability
• Have strong focus on communicating value-selling principles
• Create sales tools and general marketing tools for sales units
• Oversee training of sales staff
• Support sales units to ensure that sales & marketing goals are met
• Be responsible for deciding on sales channels
• Be responsible for setting the product strategies
• Inspire and initiate development projects within product renewal and product development
The position reports to the PU Precision Strip Sales & Marketing Manager and has a product specialist working in the segment.
Your profile
We expect that you have a university degree in business or engineering and a couple of years of experience of marketing in a global environment.
We are looking for an experienced business-minded person, with a strong interest in understanding customer needs and identifying our capability to supply value. You should have strong communication skills and be fluent in written and verbal English.
The role involves interaction with customers and sales colleagues and, therefore, travel can amount to as much as 30% of the work hours.
