To create a competence-oriented organization with clearly defined roles for Product Managers (PM) and Product Application Managers (PAM), we are reorganizing Product Management within the Product Unit Rotating Indexable Tools at Sandvik Coromant. We strive for efficient use of resources and competencies, common and efficient ways of working and a strong focus on turning technical solutions into business opportunities. With the goal of deepening our competence, we are now looking for a Global Product Application Manager for Drilling to join us on our future journey. The location for this position is preferably Sandviken, Sweden, and travelling is a natural part of this position.
Key performance areas
As Global Product Application Manager, you lead your assigned product area by ensuring that Sandvik Coromant has extensive knowledge and understanding of the application areas where our product offering and customer solutions are utilized. This is achieved by conducting product application training on an in-depth technical level, while identifying new possible application areas that aligns with the product strategy.
In this position, you participate in product development projects within your product area, from initiation through to completion. This includes responsibility all the way from technical specification of demand to field tests, launch planning and execution. You are the main contact towards sales areas regarding technical support for the product line, and support Global Product Managers with product application knowledge in developing a structured product strategy. Furthermore, you identify needs for product care, and you initiate activities connected to general market input and customer complaints. You constantly strive for your product line to be world leading in all aspects, while always keeping an eye on technical performance and customer satisfaction. This includes giving input on marketing content, ensuring market presence and establishing product awareness.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a BSc or MSc within a relevant field, or the equivalent knowledge gained from working within technical sales, product development or the metal cutting industry. You have a deep technical understanding of metal cutting and thorough knowledge of the products within the area, including their strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, you have shown success in planning and following up on project-related activities in line with the Sandvik Coromant project model, and you have extensive knowledge of our customers. As we act on the international stage, you have excellent skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
