In line with digitalization and Industry 4.0, our Product Management department at Product Unit Rotating Indexable Tools is looking for a Global Product Application Manager for Digital Pre-Machining to join us on our future journey. Together with a global team, customers and partners, we create new value to our customers with our innovative solutions. The location for this position is preferably Sandviken, and travel is a natural part of the job.
Your challenge
In this position, you work proactively with key stakeholders to understand future customer needs in the area of Digital Pre-Machining - this to secure and develop knowledge within existing areas and identify possible new application areas including digital product, process and cutting data. You constantly strive for your area to be world leading in all aspects, while always keeping an eye on technical performance and customer satisfaction. You collaborate proactively with key stakeholders to understand future customer needs; enabling you to secure and develop knowledge within the area and to identify possible new application areas.
In this position, you are the product line driver of Codification of product and application knowledge, and the main contact for internal key stakeholders for tools in the areas Digital Machining, Product Information and Sales support. With your cutting technology knowledge, you work together with colleagues in product development projects and with our Global Product Managers in the creation of a structured product strategy. Keeping track of trends within CAM, CNC and Machining, and giving input on marketing content to ensure market presence and establishing, is also important parts of the role.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with relevant experience and education and a genuine interest in the journey of digitalization and Industry 4.0. You have a technical understanding of metal cutting and thorough knowledge of the products within the area, including their strengths and weaknesses. Product or project management experience and knowledge of customers in the industry is also beneficial. As we act on an international stage, you communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
