Global Procurement of direct material SW & Electronics is responsible for the purchasing, quality and capacity assurance of production materials and SW & services into the manufacturing of all our cars in all our plants globally. We are now looking for a new Global Procurement Director - to be responsible for the new Product Stream areas of Autonomous Drive & Base SW.
As this new Global Procurement Director you will lead three Procurement teams (in Europe) within the areas of Active Safety & Autonomous Drive / Core System & Body Electronics & Security / EDS, Power Supply & Comfort Electronics. Three direct reporting Senior Purchasing Managers and some 25 employees in total. You will, within above mentioned areas, have the full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility of the business in terms of sourcing, program and running production. This includes to secure that we have the right people in our teams and to secure the right quality, delivery/flexibility, technology/program management, sustainability and cost over time. As a Purchasing Director you will be part of the Global Procurement management team for SW & Electronics. You will lead and develop your department as well as contribute in developing the Global SW & Electronics unit in total. You will also have a responsibility to cooperate closely with the SW & Electronics procurement teams in China and USA to find the best global business synergies overall. Therefore it is important that you have a good holistic understanding and strategic view and can cooperate in an international environment.
What you will do
* A high interest in leadership and coaching the individual managers as well as the total team
* Develop and secure global sourcing strategies and governance for best practices
* Set priorities & targets, call for progress review, take decisions and resolve any escalated risks or issues
* Develop relationships with global key suppliers to ensure best quality, delivery/flexibility, technology/program management, sustainability and cost over time
* Develop relationships with Global key Stakeholders to ensure alignment in direction, priorities, strategies and to pave the way for your team cross functionally
* Have a key role in developing Global Procurement SW & Electronics to become a "Best in Class" purchasing organization & the employer of choice
We are looking for a person that has
* Several years of experience in management and team leadership roles / strategic and operational management skills
* A demonstrated ability to lead the identification and selection of strategic sourcing partners, structuring of contracts and supplier relationships over time
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in both English
* Strong business acumen combined with high integrity
* Effective analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to facilitate resolution of complex issues with an attitude, "everything is possible"
* Technical or Economical university degree or equivalent
