We offer our customers services in three business areas; interim logistics and procurement consultants, recruitment of buyers and logisticians, as well as development of our customers' supply chain operations in terms of strategies, models, methods, processes, structure and competence.
On behalf of our customer we are looking for an Global Procurement Category Manager for Packaging. The assignment is for a period of 12 months at a company located in central Malmö. A location in Landskrona could also be considered. The mission of the Procurement Category Manager is to develop and lead the implementation of sourcing strategies. Your responsibility also include that execution on cost down or improvement initiatives for the assigned category is ensured.
Main tasks
Set the right procurement direction and sourcing strategy for the full supply chain for the assigned category Assure implementation of the sourcing strategy by leading category teams consisting of, for example, sales&marketing managers, project sourcing managers, local site operations and other stakeholders Manage strategic supplier relations and lead negotiations with key suppliers Lead development of new material and new production technologies together with Product development/Innovation Set KPI's and assure achievement of KPI's for the total category for delivery performance, quality, cost development, social compliance and new product development capabilities Collaboration with internal stakeholders, decision makers and suppliers to ensure competence development, procurement process improvements and/or cost down/ cost out activities within the assigned category
Experience and competence
This assignment requires a post graduate education, preferably within Supply Chain, engineering or business economics. To be successful you also need a minimum of 5 years of experience from working with strategic sourcing and/or category management in an international manufacturing business environment. Experience and understanding of cost drivers related to the category is prefered. Furthermore you are a strong stakeholder manager with excellent communication and presentation skills who easily builds credit on all levels of the company. You are an analytical, holistic person who possesses strong project and negotiation skills.
As a person you have high integrity and social competence. You are result driven with a commercial focus and you are always looking for improvements. You walk the extra mile to meet deadlines and expectations from the organization. Your hands on approach and make it happen mentality ensures progress in a fast pace evironment.
As our customer is acting on an international arena you are fluent in English and able to travel.
