Berg Propulsion is now looking for a Global PMO Manager to join the organization. In this role, you will take on a key position in driving structure, governance, and execution across complex global projects while contributing to the continued development of Berg's PMO function. ABOUT THE ROLE
As Global PMO Manager, you will lead and coordinate complex customer and product development projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, from contract handover to final delivery. The role combines project execution, governance, and cross-functional coordination in an international and technically advanced environment.
As project complexity continues to increase - driven by electrification, regulatory requirements, and increasingly advanced customer deliveries - the need for a stronger and more structured PMO function has become increasingly important.
In this role, you will act as a central coordinating function across the organization, ensuring alignment between Contract Engineers, Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, Compliance, Legal, and regional teams throughout the Order-to-Delivery process. You will contribute to creating structure, governance, and scalable ways of working that support Berg's continued growth and project execution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate complex customer projects across the organization
• Drive structure, governance, and alignment throughout the Order-to-Delivery process
• Develop and improve PMO frameworks, reporting structures, project methodologies, and ways of working
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, operations, sourcing, compliance, and regional teams
• Monitor project progress, risks, KPIs, and portfolio performance while supporting management with reporting and decision-making material
• Support Contract Engineers and project teams with coordination, planning, and execution support
As Global PMO Manager you will report to the COO and be part of the operational leadership team. The position is based at the company's office on Hönö and occasional international travel to Berg Propulsion's global offices is expected.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a leader with solid project management experience and the ability to operate in an international and cross-functional environment. You are structured, communicative, and able to create alignment across functions, stakeholder groups, and regions.
To succeed in the role, you need the ability to navigate internally, build trust, and bring people together around common priorities and project objectives. You take ownership, drive progress, and work in a pragmatic and constructive way. We believe you have experience leading projects in marine, industrial, manufacturing, or other technically advanced environments where coordination across functions and stakeholders is essential. A technical foundation, preferably with an engineering background, is beneficial, although the role is not focused on deep technical problem-solving.
Qualifications: * Relevant academic degree in engineering, business administration, or equivalent experience * Experience leading projects in international and cross-functional organizations * Ability to create structure, coordinate stakeholders, and drive progress * Experience working with governance, risk management, and project processes
Meritorious: * Experience developing PMO structures, governance models, or operational processes
