Do you have an interest in managing and developing our control system platform for world-class underground loaders and trucks and advancing the technology shift towards zero emissions? Then this can be your next opportunity! We are looking for a motivated engineer with understanding of control systems for mobile equipment, combined with technical management skills, a business-oriented mindset, and innovative thinking.

Join our team
Our aspiration is to produce the world's greenest machines, using the world's greenest cells, producing the world's greenest metals, doing our best for our planet. We are advancing sustainability in mining through battery-electric, zero-emission equipment. Do you want to join us on our journey? You'll get the opportunity to work with advanced mobile machines, electric drivetrains, and new opportunities for more sophisticated control systems and a higher degree of automated solutions.

Your mission
As Global Platform Responsible, you will create and manage the platform's strategy and be part of the guidance forums for product and project plans to ensure the platform's longevity and market position. Coordinating interfaces and product integration with machine system architects, other platform managers, and technical product managers will be a key part of the strategic work.

Overseeing ongoing activities, providing direction, engaging in technical discussions, and contributing to the design work within the platform will be important parts of your daily tasks. Staying up-to-date with innovations, key suppliers, collecting requirements, and prioritizing updates of the platform are also critical aspects of the role.

Your profile
To be successful in this role, you need to have a university degree in a relevant area or a similarly qualified engineering background. A solid technical knowledge is required, and a good understanding of control systems for commercial off-road vehicles from a system and hardware perspective is advantageous. Previous experience from Epiroc machinery is beneficial. Given the local and global nature of your contacts, verbal and written fluency in English is required.

To succeed and thrive in this role, you should be able to discuss and rationally evaluate different technical alternatives from a business perspective and make considered choices on the best compromises.

A methodical approach, solution-oriented mindset, and the capability and interest to structure technical solutions into building blocks and robust interfaces in dialogue with colleagues will be essential. As will be the willingness and capability to take on the role of "voice of the platform" within the organization.

Location
This position is located in Örebro, Sverige.
