Tools Production at Sandvik Coromant consists of several production units (PU) spread globally. Each PU produces high performance tools, which requires state of the art manufacturing technology. Because of this, the Coromant Production Technology Tools department is responsible for supporting our PU's with the mission to align improvements and spread technology know-how between all units. We are now looking for a Global Operation Developer to join our team in a dynamic position with both strategic and operational responsibilities.
This position is preferably located in Sandviken or Gimo, Sweden, while other Coromant sites globally is another possibility. International travel - from Japan to USA - is a natural part of this position.
Your challenge
As Global Operation Developer for Tools Production, you are responsible for ensuring the best possible support to the business; empowering them to continuously develop their operations and technology. You ensure that the work is aligned with the long-term strategy for Tools Production by participating in investigations and projects within Tools Production. Another area of responsibility is coordinating and securing global production capacity for the Tools Product Area, which includes investment activities and allocation of products.
We are looking for someone with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, Logistics or Economics. You have at least five years' experience from production engineering and logistics, perhaps from a managing position within production. You have experience of big data and predicted analytics, and a genuine interest for finding the essence in the data and translating it into actions and possibilities. We act on a truly global stage, and your communication skills in English is excellent - both verbal and written.
