About this opportunity
We are now recruiting a Global Material Manager (GMM). In this role, you will secure both short and long-term material availability in the inbound supply chains between external suppliers, Ericsson Supply sites (ESS), and Contract Manufacturing sites (EMS). You will also ensure stakeholder fulfillment with R&D, Production Management, Sourcing, and Product Management by representing Supply in cross-functional category management governance and supplier selection foras.

As GMM, you will develop and implement inbound supply strategies, and lead the inbound supply work in one or several categories related to electromechanics components together with the Supplier Operations Managers. You will together develop and optimize the use of time and capital resources, ensuring correct dimensioning and maintenance of inventories throughout the supply chain, supporting our Business Continuity Planning decisions for high-level supply chain resilience.

You will secure supply capability by establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers on executive levels and by ensuring preventive and mitigating activities, designing robust supply chains, etc, with key peers such as Product Development Units and Sourcing.

Inbound Supply, a Group Supply unit, is accountable for the Design, Management, and Control of the Inbound Supply Chain to Manufacturing.

The Inbound Supply chain is a strategic asset for competitiveness and includes approx. 200 suppliers and 20 000 sourced products. A Supply Chain operated globally, optimizing Supply for our 16 production units around the world.

Trends of growing product portfolio complexity, geopolitics, and changing customer requirements impact how Group Supply and Inbound Supply manage our global footprint and supplier base. At the same time, the industry is leveraging new technologies and tools to digitalize and automate - as part of Industry 4.0. Our 2023 strategy outlines the steps we will take to improve our contribution to Group Supply and Ericsson.

What you will do
Establish, develop and maintain executive level relationships with all suppliers in scope to secure priority whenever needed.
Review supplier capability and commitment to Ericsson forecasts, analyze potential risks and opportunities and drive supplier improvements
Secure competitive logistics set up with all suppliers in scope; Identify and drive activities to enhance the supplier performance
Establish fundamentals in the supplier interface (logistics agreements, processes, ways-of-working).
Ensure resilience buffer targets are defined, using the appropriate buffer model, and implemented in the category/supplier dimension.
Develop and implement Supply Categories strategies supporting Inbound Supply overall strategies


You will bring
MSc degree in science or equivalent
10 years of related experience within the electromechanics Die Casting, Embedded Power, and/or Embedded Climate components area
RAN/Radio domain experience
Financial skills and a good understanding of the business environment
Ability to build and handle long-term relationships with suppliers on executive levels
Excellent communication and influencing skills


Preferred Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
Experience from digitalization would be a plus
