Volvo Trucks Operations is searching for a
Global Material Controller

The facility in Köping functions as the transmission center within Volvo Groups Powertrain Production and there is continuous development work within the Center of Excellence framework for the transmission area. There are currently 1500 people employed at the facilities in Köping.

Job Description
As Global Material controller you will be a part of a group that consists of 7 people.You will be responsible for day to day procurement within your supplier portfolio according to delivery schedules. Additionally, you will represent all VPT sites, managing the supplier to support production requirements and site inventory levels in the most strategic and cost efficient way.

As Global Material Controller, your primary tasks will consist of the following:
Accurately plan materials in order to ensure that the materials arrive via standard transportation and do not require urgent shipments.
Regular communication with suppliers to ensure that materials are shipped on time, and quantities are according to schedule.
Participate/initiate improvements of our processes/systems (collaboration with PipeChain LSU and GSU, Global Material Control Manager).
Communicate with supplier if Volvo and in the event of critical situation, coordinate requirements globally and communicate to Commodity Logistics Manager and Purchasing and involved Site Material Controllers.

Qualifications
To function in this role, you will need an academic degree within a relevant field of study (degree in engineering, economics) as well as proven work experience. You should feel comfortable to work with cross functional teams, preferably in Supply Chain Management,
Purchasing or Logistics. We would like to see candidates with good knowledge of MS Office softwares. Spoken and written English are essential and fluent in Swedish, French, Portuguese or Japanese is a merit.
