The Global Supply Chain team is being strengthened to support the Group?s strategic growth, product quality, total cost, manufacturing global capacity planning, and expand the link between Product Development. The new organizational set-up comprises existing industrial competence and resources, and supports the Group?s global strategy.
The focus of this role will be to define global best practices and drive global optimization and consistency in the processes from the SOP (Sales and Operations Planning) process through the production of the finished goods and their movement into the warehousing processes. The processes optimized / owned by this new position will include the SOP process, inbound logistics, master scheduling, material planning / call off, plant logistics / material handling engineering and outbound logistics (warehousing, primary and secondary transport). This position will be responsible to optimize these processes based on our internal best practices and industry best practices. The movement to optimized and consistent processes in these areas will be critical to the use of our global assets as we compete with truly global players. Further, the implementation of COMPASS requires the company to rapidly move to a consistent set of processes.
Supply Chain Vice President will run the following activities/departments:
SALES AND OPERATIONS PLANNING PROCESS (SOP)
Partner with the regional demand planning processes, plant / regional / and global product line capacity planning and management, supplier capacity management, and available finished goods inventory to deliver a process to the sector P&L leaders that allows them to have full insight and knowledge to optimize both their profits and the service to their customers.
INBOUND LOGISTICS
Define and implement new cost efficient delivery methods and concepts (consolidation centre, supplier park concepts?), consistent and stable communication processes / signals to our suppliers, and optimize our overall inbound network based on supplier locations, plant locations and modularity opportunities.
MASTER SCHEDULING AND MATERIALS PLANNING / CALL OFF
Standardize and optimize the master scheduling processes and the materials planning / call off processes in alignment with SAP. Focus on optimizing the flows of materials between the suppliers and plants, the plant efficiency, and the time to market in terms of; time, overall costs, and working inventory consumed in these processes.
PLANT LOGISTICS / MATERIAL HANDLING ENGINEERING
Standardize and optimize all planning tools, methods, processes and actively introduce industry best logistics concepts to define a Global Supply System.
Competencies needed
- Broad and solid senior management experiences (10-15 years) in a true international environment and in management functions as: production, logistics, purchasing, controlling, product management
- Experience in running multiple international plants and projects and to work with teams remotely
- Proven track record of delivering results
Strong practical problem-solving skills and an analytical approach
Proven multiple project management skills
- Academic background to be able to fully understand actual and future business requirements
• A solid track record working within Logistic & Supply Chain
