ABB Metallurgy sells and delivers electromagnetic stirring and braking systems to the steel and aluminum industry around the world. We are now looking for a global manager for the Metallurgy Business with a large team in Sweden. You will have full responsibility for profit and loss and the end to end execution of the business. The organization in Sweden constitutes of about 50 employees working in production, engineering, sales, and project management and you will have four subordinate managers reporting directly to you.
In this role you will report to Global Product Group Manager Process Industries Metals.
Your responsibilities
Ensure profit & loss and business growth.
Define and Implement global business strategy.
Ensure development of performance targets in line with global targets and ensure achievement through regular oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed.
Evaluate market opportunities and decide appropriate activities in line with the strategy.
Oversee production and execution of high-quality products, services and processes.
Monitor quality metrics, identify opportunities for improvement in local execution, and oversee improvement activities.
Ensure the execution of projects according to agreed targets in terms of schedule, quality, financial results and customer satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
Ensure (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
Guide, motivate and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
Your background
You are motivated, focused on results and a true people manager. You support your team and know how to motivate them, and you share your insights on processes and are able to achieve change in an efficient way.
You have a degree in engineering or other relevant discipline.
You have experience as P/L manager, with previous global sales experience.
You can develop a strategy and you have experience with business development.
You have experience from the Metals Industry.
You are comfortable working in an international matrix organization.
You are fluent in Swedish and English.
You have the ability to demonstrate that you can grow and take market share for the full portfolio (projects, products, service & digital solutions).
You are willing to travel, visit customers or attend meetings abroad.
You are a strong leader with proven record of leadership and interpersonal skills.
You collaborate well with all individuals.
