A part of this is establishing The Kanthal Way, which is a framework with working methods and processes to ensure a more safe, lean, quality minded and efficient working organization. Hence we're looking for a Global Lean Coach to take on an expert role with Lean focus for all Sandvik Kanthal, and drive the development and implementation of the Kanthal Way.
This role has a global scope, but is based in Hallstahammar Sweden, as that's the location of our biggest PU (Production Unit). International travelling is a part of the role.
Job Summary
Your first task will be to build/create the lean processes and tools that will be the heart of The Kanthal way (our management/business system). our main responsibility will then by to coach and help our organization to work according to The Kanthal Way with the objective to ensure a more safe, lean and efficient working organization. You perform Global Internal Auditsto identify improvement areas and share best practices between the sites. The purpose is to ensure good mindset, tools and processes that will support our lean-journey. You educate, facilitate workshops, spread knowledge, follow up and act on deviations, and always act as a role model in this area. In other words, you are the operational excellence expert and coach for Kanthal.
You have expert knowledge and seniority within Lean and improvement work related to manufacturing industry. You have formal training in Lean 6 Sigma, process mapping, value stream mapping as well as total productive maintenance or similar relevant trainings. Additionally, training in carrying out audits is advantageous. You have a relevant engineering degree, and experience in previous roles that are an advantage include Continuous Improvement Engineer, Change Leader as well as leadership and/or management roles in production. It's an extra bonus if you have experience or training related to metallurgy.
We put great emphasis on your personal characteristics. To succeed in this role one must be a motivational leader with great change management skills. Also, you are a pedagogical educator, and balance being the strategic expert for all Kanthal with being "hands on" in the implementation of ways of working. Additionally, you are capable of carrying out of several projects, and measuring the efficiency of our operations, in a structured approach. Finally, you are fluent in English.
