The Global Greens is the political family of the world's Green parties and political movements, working cooperatively to implement the Global Greens Charter . The Executive Secretary is responsible for facilitating the connection, consolidation and campaigning among the Members of the Global Greens .The Executive Secretary will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and building the overall
capacity of the Global Greens organisation.
The Executive Secretary will be accountable to the Global Greens Coordination Committee which consists of political representatives of the four regional federations: African Greens Federation, Asia Pacific Greens Federation, European Green Party, Federation of Green Parties of the Americas. You will
receive direction and day-to-day management from the Global Greens Co-Convenors and by your fellow Greens with whom you will work as team locally, nationally, regionally and globally.
Your work consists of the following responsibilities:
1. Coordinate priority activities of the Global Greens.
2. Project design, implementation and multi-stakeholder consensus-building.
3. Manage the Global Greens Secretariat including the virtual office, email, databases, volunteers and interns.
4. Provide administrative support to the Global Greens Coordination Committee, Co-Convenors and Treasurer.
5. Be an active member of Working Groups related to fundraising and budget development.
6. Coordinate communications including the development of Global Greens news, website and social media; and to the extent possible arrange for the translation of information into key Global Greens languages.
7. Develop the connection, consolidation and collaboration among Global Greens Federations and Member parties.
Additional qualifications:
Required:
• have an understanding of Green political ideology
• be able to speak and write in English fluently
Preferably:
• be able to communicate in Swedish, French and Spanish
• have an enterprising attitude.
• have previous experience developing global political and civil society movements
Your first project
The first project will be to develop the "Mobilising the Global Green Expatriate Vote" project. The project's objective is to increase the Green party vote at the local, national and regional levels through a globally applicable system of collaborative campaigning using both online and on-the-ground organising.
The project is intended to strengthen the cooperation among Global Greens stakeholders at all levels.

The employment is not covered by collective agreements, but applies equivalent
standards
Start date: 01 January 2018
Travel:
The service involves travel, both in Sweden and abroad.
