ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Fenix Outdoor Group is an international organization composed of premium outdoor brands that develop and sell outdoor clothing and equipment. All we do is driven by a common goal and mission: to bring more users (our term for our customers) into nature and support their success in meaningful outdoor experiences.
We are thrilled to announce the 9th session of our Fenix Global Graduate program. Our Global Graduate program offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to apply, develop and challenge your professional skills within a global organization.
At Fenix Outdoor, you are in the driver's seat of your adventure. Our program is dynamic and adaptable and enables you to make your mark on our business success utilizing the unique talent and abilities you carry. You'll have the chance to develop your understanding for the business, work in multinational teams and widen your network on a global scale.
Ready to take flight? Joining our group means joining forces with teams from around the world. Our former Global Graduates have had the exciting opportunity of traveling around the world to visit our locations, get a look up close at the business and challenge their abilities to perform on a truly global level.
Your adventure begins during 2022/23 and lasts for ten action packed months. Our headquarters is in Stockholm, Sweden, but we are looking for candidates from all locations and backgrounds. For this session, we are especially eager to speak with candidates that have experience in the North American market.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The program is divided into different phases. After the onboarding phase you will go into the exploration phase that has historically consisted of the following activities:
Participate in sales meetings and trade shows to get an understanding of our global sales organization and the outdoor industry
Visit our Brand offices and our retailers as well as our worldwide production sites to gain an understanding of their organizations and operations
Spend time gaining sales experience and product knowledge by working in our retail stores or sales companies
Jump into projects and teams in various offices and departments to support, learn and share knowledge
What happens after the program?
A critical key to success in our graduate program, is the ability and initiative to carve out your own path to success and determine where you best fit and can contribute at Fenix Outdoor Group. Expect support from our team throughout your journey, but, at the end of the day, you are the owner of your experience and responsible for the end result. If you are successful in the program you could land a permanent position within our group.
Picture yourself in San Francisco, Boulder, Stockholm, Aarhus, Hamburg or Hong Kong just to name a few examples of locations that you could call home after successfully completing your Global Graduate post.
WHO YOU ARE
To start your adventure, we expect you to have the following qualifications:
A bachelor's degree (B. Sc.). Preferably you have specialized towards:
Organizational Development
Digital Marketing and/or E-Commerce
Engineering or IT
Sales and Retail
Marketing and Communication
Sustainability
Experience from studying, working or living in several countries
A genuine interest for retail, E-Commerce and the outdoor business.
If you have experience from project management and/or working in sales or retail this will be a plus!
In terms of character:
You are a doer with a high working capacity. You have an eye for noticing areas that could use improvement and you are creative in presenting ideas and solutions towards those improvements
You're entrepreneurial, you invest company assets like you would invest your own and have a cost-conscious mind
You take pleasure in supporting with tasks no matter how large, you understand the importance of simple tasks like supporting in preparation for an exhibition or creating a presentation for a colleague. Service and teamwork are in your DNA
You are humble yet hungry, in a crowded room you speak up and share your input and expertise, but you also have no problem listening to and incorporating others' advice no matter their seniority. Being an enthusiastic team player; you possess the ability to work with people from all backgrounds and walks of life. Humble with a non-prestigious attitude.
You are eager to try out new things. You show initiative and drive your development independently. You do not shy away from pushing your own comfort zone.
You are a continuous learner; constantly looking for learning opportunities and takes on challenges when they occur.
You can manage uncertainty created by a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, more than that you thrive in situations that move quickly and are filled with challenge. You adapt to and embrace change and can juggle priorities efficiently.
You have a love and respect for nature and the outdoors and an authentic enthusiasm toward the Brands at Fenix Outdoor. You are eager to share your passion and engage others to fall in love with the outdoors
