Oriflame is looking for a Global Forecasting Controller to be the part of our Global Forecasting team. The purpose of the role is to take data and use it to help the company to take better decisions. Verify that projections of future sales make sense and ensure high quality forecast in terms of value and units. To understand the underlying reasons for the development of forecasting KPI's, spot trends and highlight need for correction.
Forecasting Controller is a strong link between the global team & 10 regional forecasting teams to ensure best practices sharing and global tools and processes are supporting the regional processes. Ensure regions are adhering to global policies for the forecast to always reflect the most likely unbiased projection of future product sales. There are approximately 60 people working with forecasting and demand planning in Oriflame world-wide.

Your responsibilities

• Working closely with Global and regional forecasting teams to reach their business goals through improvement of processes, tools, working methods and sharing of best practices
• Work towards constant improvement of Forecasting KPI's (accuracy & bias) through analysis of past forecast performance, identification of gaps, following-up & challenging regional teams
• Analyse and challenge quality of future forecast, explain big changes, assess risks and ensure the forecast is complete, realistic & in line with sales expectations
• Provide input & materials for decision making in the IBM/IBP process and the yearly target setting process

Key tasks

• Analyse and present monthly/quarterly forecast KPI's development on regional and global level. Ensure continues improvement loop is in place and working effectively
• Prepare top level analysis from relevant forecast data, past and future, for regular meetings requiring forecast input
• Chair regional monthly forecasting forum to get the latest update on changes and actions

What we are looking for
We believe you are curious about how things work and why and you like to work with numbers. Interested to dig deeper into data to find "meaningful patterns in meaningless noise". Detailed oriented, methodical.
You like to work independently, organize your own work and self-motivated to yourself decide where further analysis should be made without being asked. It is also important to be imaginative - built in "what if" thinking and always thinking of different ways of deciphering and presenting data in different ways.
You are not afraid to challenge other functions, supported by your analysis, and propose gap closing activities. The work environment is fast moving and entrepreneurial and plans are frequently adjusted thus you need to be flexible and able to adapt to ensure best outcome for the business

Competencies
• Analytical skills - Able to work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching. Ability to see through the data and analyze it
• Critical mind - Look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings. Ability to decipher what is relevant to the objectives of the study
• Attention to detail - Data is precise. Be vigilant in the analysis to come to correct conclusions. Working with numbers and knowledge in math is a must
• Communication - Present findings, or translate data into an understandable documentation. Write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas

Qualifications
• Bachelor or Master degree in engineering or economics
• Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPivot). Experience with Advanced planning systems, demand systems or BI Cognos is meriting
• Very good English verbal and in writing
• Previous experience in an analytical function or in a supply- or planning/analytical environment is meriting. Good understanding of demand, forecasting and planning
• Knowledge of math or statistics is meriting
