We are offering a role of Global Division HR Manager Marine & Ports division. Preferred locations are: Shanghai (China), Helsinki (Finland), Västerås (Sweden), Oslo (Norway), Miramar (Florida, US), Rotterdam (Holland) and Genoa (Italy).
As the Global HR Manager, your main responsibility will be to lead the HR function in the Global Division Marine & Ports and responsibility of defining and implementing the Global People & Leadership Strategy aligned with the Marine & Ports' Business Strategy. You will collaborate with the division management team and local HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to establish annual HR Targets & Priorities that align with the division's business strategy. This will require a business-driven approach and close cooperation with business leaders to identify, define and implement relevant solutions to their business priorities.
The role reports to Juha Koskela, Marine & Ports, Division President and functionally Herve de Barbeyrac, BA PA Head of HR.
Your responsibilities
Act as a direct sparring partner for Division Management and HRBPs to understand current issues that can be supported or resolved through people and leadership practices. Counsel, support and challenge business leaders. Spar with business leaders on the most effective solutions for resolving issues and supporting mid- and long-term objectives, but also with short-term solutions, when required.
Responsible for creating Marine & Ports People Strategy aligned with the Business strategy. Define annual People & Leadership targets and priorities together with local HRBPs to implement the strategy - lead the implementation across all countries within Marine & Ports.
Continuously develop and refine leadership practices in collaboration with HRBPs and leaders, focusing on enhancing employee engagement, purpose, and ultimately improving customer satisfaction and business performance. These practices include all people & leadership processes, such as competence & recruitment planning, performance management, talent management, succession planning, diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, remuneration, restructuring
Lead HR workstream in due diligence and integration of acquired companies. Lead change management initiatives across area of responsibility, support leaders and HR colleagues in implementing new initiatives and driving behavioral change. Lead change management plans to support in WorkDay implementation and adoption across the Division
Lead, develop and empower the HR team, fostering their professional growth and development. Ensure the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed, and HR function delivers training programs fitted for business needs and leveraging existing portfolio
Ensure compliance with legislation and HR policies and adherence to Occupational Health & Safety and compliance standards and in all areas of responsibility. Actively engage in cooperation with key stakeholders across the ABB Group, Business Area (BA) Process Automation (PA) and external counterparties

Your background
University degree in business, HR or related discipline required
Minimum 10 years of experience in HR, whereof at least 5 years in Business HR with exposure to diverse cultures
Proven ability to oversee multiple ongoing projects; you excel in prioritizing and delegate
The role demands strategic skills and operational understanding. You should be able to develop long-term plans and methods to support the business in meeting its goals through professional leadership. Simultaneously, it requires a hands-on attitude to ensure the agreed actions are implemented effectively
Proven success with leadership and people and change management
Extensive knowledge of all HR workstreams with expertise in one or more workstreams
Strong communication and co-operation, influencing skills, results focused, and actions oriented. Proven results and practice in building and collaborating with formal and informal networks at all levels of an organization
Intercultural sensitivity and experienced in cross-functional, international collaboration and building strong personal networks
