Position DescriptionAs Global Director Logistics, you have the ownership of the logistics within Customer Solutions (CS).You have the Global CS teams, the Volvo CE Regions and Group Trucks Service Market Logistics (SML) as key stakeholders.As Global Director Logistics, you manage the logistic roadmap based on regional requirements and prioritization. You develop the Customer Solutions logistic offering and implement cost efficient distribution solutions in the total supply chain. You develop and support our Dealer Inventory Management tool enabling our dealers to provide best in class over the counter availability. You improve the forecasting process and provide intelligence business analytics.You define logistic requirements in new product development projects. You actively manage the interfaces to Technology, Purchasing and other Customer Solutions area, such as Business Development, Finance, Parts and Marketing Communication.As Global Director Logistics, you report to the VP Customer Solutions and you manage a team of 15 through 3 direct reports. You are part of the Management Team Customer Solutions. Who are you?Preferable you hold a master degree in Engineering, commercial or financial fields. You have extensive aftermarket knowledge. Over the years of your career, you gained experience to work in geographically diverse and cross-functional teams. You are of a curious nature and you handle challenges by taking initiative and taking accountability. You reach your targets through your team. You get the best out of all your team members through continuous dialogue and feedback. You are passionate about the growth and development of your team. You are fluent in English and Swedish is a nice asset. Your home base is Eskilstuna, Sweden and you are able to travel regularly.
