Kindly note that this position is posted and could be filled in either of the following locations: Pittsburgh, US. Stockholm, Sweden. Bangkok, Thailand. Katowice, Poland.

As a Global Commodity Manager you will create, maintain and drive the deployment of Global Commodity Sourcing strategies till supplier's selection, working closely together with the PE and Lead Engineers and PdPMs. Also you will negotiate the key contracts and establish frame agreements with suppliers across all Regions and will contribute to optimize the TCO of our products through best in class supply chain and Supplier Relationship Management.

In your role you will:

• Establish Commodity Sourcing strategies;
• Create purchasing leverage and gain from synergies across regions /global businesses;
• Develop supplier 'best in class' performance;
• Support material bids;
• Validate Procurement Blue Book (BB) inputs for the category;
• Manage material cost reduction activities;
• Negotiate of best terms and conditions for supplier contracts or correct Sourcing mandate allocation thereof;
• Build contact network external, cross divisional, cross functional & foster cooperation wherever needed.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate, you possess:

• Engineering degree, Commercial Degree with procurement background complemented by a demonstrated track record of success;
• Five (5) years to seven (7) years of experience in procurement related role, including minimum two (2) years in strategic sourcing;
• Financial awareness, in particular, experience in cost structure analysis, cost control activities, target settings;
• Solid technical knowledge of the different systems and materials used in BT;
• Advanced knowledge of strategic sourcing expertise, possibly gained in a manufacturing environment;
• Well-developed influencing and stakeholder management skills;
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written) is a must.
