Presentation
The Commodity Manager for Ignition systems, carburetors and sparkplugs is part of a global team and reports to the Senior Commodity Manager for the petrol power commodity team. The Commodity Manager is responsible for quality, delivery, cost efficiency and sustainability of the direct material commodity supply throughout the product lifecycle on a global level.
Publiceringsdatum2011-05-05Dina arbetsuppgifter• Be ultimately in charge of all commercial relationships with suppliers within the commodity on the global or regional level (as assigned), securing targeted levels of cost, quality, delivery precision, sustainability, etc.
• Drive value by implementing strategic sourcing and entering into cost efficient agreements that fulfil supply requirements, by using a systematic sourcing methodology and a continuous total cost of ownership focus. Be responsible for negotiations, supplier selection, development and maintenance of vendor agreements.
• Manage supplier relationships to drive supplier performance, contract effectiveness, collaboration and integration and deliver improved result. Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key vendors within the commodity with the objective of reducing costs and eliminating inefficiencies
• Drive demand management to optimize lifecycle cost
• Conduct PPV activities, budgeting (including PPV and OMV), and annual price negotiations as well as LCC initiatives
Utbildning/erfarenhet
At a minimum, you have a Bachelor's Degree in business administration, engineering or other relevant discipline. Preferrably, you have a Master's Degree and recognized qualification in Purchasing. You have at least 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in commodity management positions. Experience of Ignition systems, carburetors and sparkplugs is an advantage. Leadership and change management experience in of advantage.
Fluency in Swedish and English is required (written and oral) and fluency in additional languages, e.g. German, Chinese, or other languages, is an advantage
Crucial skills for this position:
• Ability to define a vision and strategy for purchasing and the assigned commodities
• Deep insights in the purchasing environment for the commodities managed; sufficient to analyze business procurement issues, recommend solutions and strategies and implement changes
• Strong planning, organization, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Excellent knowledge of the strategic sourcing methodology and its application in for example fact based negotiations and cross functional team collaboration
• Capabilities in managing strategic supplier relationships, including relationship building, performance, development and integration
• Knowledge and experience with software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) including presentation and database applications.
• Written and verbal communications skills
• Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., tact/diplomacy, listening, negotiation, etc).
• Understanding the importance of customer service and internal stakeholder management
